Mt Pagon 3rd-4th February 2012 On 3rd Feb 2012 (Thursday), a group of 15 from various countries including Holland, Poland, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei started out on a two day hike to Brunei’s highest peak. This diverse group came together at the Kuala Lurah Limbang immigration check point. The contact page is  11th to 12th February 2011 We were very pleased to welcome four German friends to overnight at Rainforest Nature Camp. Out of the four, two have been living in Brunei for a year working as engineers with the Sultan’s Royal Flight. On the first day, of our journey journey up river the weather was  Week 34 – 18th September 2010 This week I had 4 British teachers from the International School, Brunei. It was their first time into the jungle here at the Brunei National Park, having just arrived in Brunei 6 months ago. After traveling up the river from Bangar in the longboat, they all signed in  Overview Gunung Mulu National Park is one of Nature’s most spectacular achievements and the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of Sarawak’s expanding network of national parks. It is also the largest national park, covering 52,865 hectares of primary rainforest, which is criss-crossed by fast flowing rivers and clear jungle streams. Mulu is dominated by three  19th-20th June 2010 One of 4 Longboats We were very pleased to host a group of 17 UBD students from Years one and two, along with two teachers at Temburong for 2Days and 1 nights’ camping. Camp Set Up. On the morning of the first day, we loaded all the students in  31st May 2010 – Monday A group of 7 people from Jerudong Park Medical Centre staff took a day trip to Ulu Temburong National Park. Along the river cruise to National Park we saw Black Hornbill flying over us. This black hornbill is far more frequently sighted then the Rhinoceros Hornbill. The trail to  24th May 2010-Monday I had 4 adults & 1 child from Australian for a Day trip to Ulu Temburong National Park. The river is high with a brisk current after all the recent rains. However our boat driver negotiated all the rapids with his usual confident skill. During our trek we saw Pygmy Squirrel, 22th May 2010-Saturday Today we had a visitor from Japan to go to the Ulu Temburong National Park, known to us as the “Green Jewel of Borneo”. Unfortunately the weather decided it was not going to favour us and this morning it started raining and did not stop till late in the afternoon. The  Sorry it has been so quiet, but as you can see from the following It’s been pretty busy here at Borneo Trekking. 6th – 13th May 2010 As part of our continuous training program, I have been attending an 8 Day course, organized by Sarawak Forestry Corporation, on Biological and Geological diversity.
